Untidy streets do have the ability to completely ruin the appearance of the area. I used to live in a lovely place but is often ruined by a select few who are careless. I lived in an inner city suburb in Australia and could not help noticing the vast amount of rubbish left on the street. It often got carted away Sunday morning. I often go for a run Sunday morning and I had never seen to many broken bottles and cigarette butts. I hear the sound of the scarab minor hire road sweepers everytime, and I think - what can't people just put litter in the bin? I also see a lot of take away food rubbish. This is really bad as this type of rubbish can make its way to the sea which can have an adverse effect on marine life. I wish people would think twice prior to disregarding rubbish. At times it can smell and is absolutely putrid during the warmer months. Generally if it has been there for more than a day then it will start to decay and this is when the smell emerges. |
