With all these banner maker services springing up, it's no surprise to see the proliferation of ad banners everywhere. Ad banners on websites are something I usually find annoying. They are large and distracting with flashy colors and graphics. Often they are not even relevant to the website I am on. These banners are usually poorly placed in terms of relevancy to the website. The large majority of these ad banners are for scams, saying if they clicked they offer a free laptop or a free $1000 gift card to a major restaurant Also, a lot of the ad banners drop down over content I am reading, which is a large annoyance. I only find ads to be useful when they are relevant to the site I am looking at. If ads offer a good deal that can only be received by clicking that ad, then those are helpful and interesting. As long as the ad does not get in my way of the content I am viewing, is not a scam, and is relevant to the website I am on, then they are useful. |
